FAQ's

How long have you been in business?

  • We are relatively fresh faces to the CSRA and we bring fresh ideas with us.  We have been doing business as GTS since early 2003.  We brought Gravitas Transport Service to Augusta by branching from Alternative Transport Service of Montgomery, AL.  In the relatively short time we have been in Georgia we have become the largest, busiest removal service in the area.

Are you here to stay?

  • GTS will be in the CSRA for many years to come.  In fact, look for 1-2 more locations in GA and/or AL in the coming years.

What are your rates?

  • We will be happy to discuss our rates with you on a per need basis.  Just send us an e-mail or give us a call and we will be glad to quote for you.  We are highly competitive and our rates will prove it.  If someone is reasonably beating our rates, we will adjust accordingly.  We charge on a per loaded mile basis and do not require contracts.

Do you offer embalming livery services?

  • We offer embalming services through a third party on a per need basis at a great rate.  It is not our goal and we do not wish to be an embalming competitor of the funeral homes we provide our services to.  Our main focus is transportation of decedents.  For this reason we will only offer embalming services to out of town establishments with an immediate need.

Are you licensed and insured?

  • Yes, we are licensed, insured, and recognized as a first call service by the state of GA.

What vehicles do you use?

  • Our vehicles are late model Vans.  Below you will see one of our vans and a typical setup.  All have brand new Junkin One Man Cots with unmarked family friendly "quilt/comforter" style cot cover which are reversible to a patriotic design for Veterans or active duty removals.  Also in each van is a smooth mover and a container with miscellaneous emergency equipment such as various styles of body bags, head blocks, and protective wear.  Each van also carries all proper PPE, all paperwork needed to carry out any situation, and cleaning supplies.  This particular van shown in the picture also has a clear partition separating the front from the back and emergency lighting.
